amid Current Changes
Now that Fr. John McGivern has
assumed the added responsibility of serving as Administrator at
St. Catherine/St. Lucy Parish, there are some changes and
additions to the weekday mass schedule. The new schedule is as
8:30am Monday: St. Edmund
8:30am Tuesday: St.
Catherine/St. Lucy Church
8:30am Wednesday: St.
Catherine/St. Lucy Church
8:30am Friday: St. Edmund
At St. Edmund
the church is open at 8:15am and everyone may enter and exit
through the Murphy Hall corridor doors. Registration and
sanitizing will take place at the registration table in the
north transept of the church and you will be escorted to
your assigned pew. At St. Catherine/St. Lucy Church (SCSL),
the doors open at 8am with entrance and exit on Austin
Blvd,, and a handicapped ramp on the south side of the
church. Registration and sanitizing take place just inside
church at the Austin Blvd. entrance to the church. Everyone
is asked to sit in pews labeled with the number “1”.
All masses limited to 50 attendees
Note: Additional masses will be added as more volunteers are
trained. This will include the addition of the daily morning
mass. This page will be updated as new times become available.
Reservations are required to attend mass and all other
events. This is important because we are limited to 50
to make your reservation.
(Please note that due to the COVID-19 pandemic
most of the liturgical or paraliturgical
activities are cancelled until further notice. Call the
parish office, 708-848-4417 for questions about
Baptisms, Weddings, Anointing
As the pandemic
continues, we ask that you please contact the Parish Office at
the latest information concerning the following services, as times may
- Reconciliation (Confession): Saturday, 4:15 to 5:00 PM
(located in west end of north transept). By private appointment any
time. Communal Penance Services before Christmas and Easter.
- Baptisms: Parents are asked to call the Parish Office at
least two months in advance to schedule preparation sessions and
- Weddings: In order to schedule a wedding, you or your
parents must be registered, participating parish members for at
least one year prior to setting the date. Contact the Parish Office
for further information.
- Anointing of the Sick: Call the Parish Office. Ministers
of Care are available to bring Holy Communion to our parish sick and
We welcome new parishioners. New parishioners may
register at the parish office on weekdays from: 9:00 AM- 8:00 PM,
Saturdays from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, and Sundays from 9:00 AM- 1:00 pm. We
are delighted when anyone chooses to join us.
